Bloggers Style I
Street style is definitely one of the best visual aids to influence people. In an age of selfies, documenting lives online, and sharing ‘a day in the life’ snapshots with fellow digital-crazed followers, it’s only natural to want to share daily outfit choices as well. When I travel, I tend to come across bloggers or style sirens who’s fashion sense I find inspiring.
5 words to describe British fashion: Dynamic, Attitude, Edgy but also casual chic, and sophisticated.
As far as Middle Eastern fashion is concerned: Directional, Feminine, Glamorous, Elegant and Ornate.
Here are a few fashion bloggers I have found on the net and on my travels.
Song of Style
Aimee Song is based over in the States, L.A. to be exact. Her online presence is just outstanding in that she has 1.9 million followers on Instagram alone. Considering she only began Song of Style in 2008, she has done rather well. She personifies that luxury L.A. lifestyle, where I found her on a trip there a few months ago! One of her latest blog posts is a real taste of home for me as she stars in a photo shoot for Grazia Middle East. Check it out here to be inspired by Aimee’s outfits.
The Hybrids
Known for her blog The Hybrids, which she and her husband co-manage together, Ascia AKF is one of the finest mixed heritage fashion bloggers of the moment. Half American, half Kuwaiti, it’s clear that her styling is not strictly Middle Eastern, but I love that she wears her hijab in different ways. Her blog posts are always well labelled so that people can steal her style, and hello… have you seen this lady’s epic shoe collection?? Louboutins, Sophia Webster and Zara are just a few of the brands listed throughout this blog.
More inspirational street style looks from Negin, who just has the most fabulous hair! And the lovely creative and also hijabi MrMr from Kuwait:
