Capri Enchantment
The Magical Secret Gardens of Capri
A much needed vacation finally happened! Sara and I decided to finally take that long awaited trip to Capri..

We were greeted by the charming port, where we arrived by boat, and then driven up steep hills to the top of the mountain, where our historic hotel, Ceasar Augusts was situated.

Blown away is an understatement. Everything is just SO BEAUTIFUL.
On the terrace of Ceasar Augustus hotel, is the view of Napoli, Sorrento, Positano and on a clear day Amalfi!
We spent 4 captivating days there, but the most memorable has to be the day we visited San Michele. San Michele was originally a chapel, dedicated to Saint Michele, and had been built on some of the ruins of Roman Emperor Tiberius‘ villa. Taken aback by its beauty, Axel Munthe a Swedish Physician, decided to buy it in the 1800’s, and dedicated his life to restoring and rebuilding it.
‘My home shall be open for the sun and the wind and the voices of the sea – like a Greek temple – and light, light, light everywhere!’

But the captivating part wasn’t the house, it was the garden.. OH, MY, God.
It would take you hours to explore the gardens in total.. upon pathways and hundreds of steps.. (wear comfy flats and take a bottle of water with you)

‘enchanting’ to say the least.. <3
My Goddess moment!
The house and gardens are a must see, so free up a few hours to really take in the beauty. There is a cafe if you need to relax for a bit, but I would recommend exploring all the little hidden gems to find a place you can sit in peace with either a book or a journal.
