The Met Gala 2016
The annual Met Gala’s theme this year was “Manus x Machina” and the dress code as defined by Anna Winter was “tech white tie”. The world’s A-List were in attendance from Royals, to Actors and Musicians and of course the designers themselves for the fashion industries biggest party. We simply couldn’t wait for everyone’s red carpet arrival. Our favourite dress was created by Zac Posen for Clare Danes. It blew us away! This dress glows in the dark with 30 battery packs sewn into the fabric to create the stunning effect.
As for the guest list, we saw Queen Rania and Princess Charlotte Casiraghi, hostess Anna Wintour and daughter Bee Shaffer to models Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell as well as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, to actresses Kate Hudson and Blake Lively to musicians from Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Beyonce. The maestros who had created the evenings gorgeous gowns were also at the party, from Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, to Donatello Versace, and of course the man of the evening Zac Posen.
