The Met Gala 2017
The Met and Vogue open the Met Gala on the first Monday of May. This year’s Met Ball theme was Rei Kawa Kubo / Comme des Garcons: Art of the In Between. The world’s A-List were in attendance from Royals, to Actors and Musicians and of course the designers themselves for the fashion industries biggest party. We simply couldn’t wait for everyone’s red carpet arrival.
Ladies of the Red Carpet
From the bold to the classic, from the sheer to the endless layers of tulle, to the flawless and fabulous makeup looks – this years Met Gala had something for everyone. Co-host Katy Perry kicked things off on the red carpet in a bold statement dress from Maison Margiela created by John Galliano. Rihanna wore Comme des Garcons and looked theme fabulous! Anna Wintour was elegant in sequinned Chanel. Legs played a key feature with Lily Aldridge in Ralph Lauren with red Balenciaga boots and Gigi Hadid in Tommy Hilfiger and fishnet stockings. The barely there look was all over with Kendall Jenner in black La Perla, Kylie Jenner in golden Versace and Balla Hadid in a body suit by Alexander Wang. There were also layers and layers of tulle, with Lily Collins in Giambattista Valli and Hailey Baldwin in Carolina Herrera. Gisele kept it sleek in silver Stella McCartney and Selena Gomez in blushing pink Coach.
Couples in Love on the Red Carpet
There was a lot of love on the Met Gala 2017 Red Carpet, with Gisele and Tom Brady, looking at each other with bliss. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in matching blue, and Chrissy Teigen and John Legend in complementary black and white. As for co-host Pharrell and his wife Helen Lasichanh they both kept things fashion forward in Comme des Garcons.
Fun and Games at the Met Gala
From the latest bathroom selfie, thanks to Kylie Jenner, to the Vogue instagram booth, there were smiles all around!
