Trend Report: Pre-Fall 2015

Fashion moves at the speed of light these days.  If you’re on the pulse of style, then you know full well how the number of collections per design house is increasing. As a designer, there must be a lot of pressure to create so many collections.

I’ve rounded up some of the latest looks from different designers for Pre Fall 2015

Moschino Monochrome - Pre-Fall 2015

It seems Jeremy Scott, Creative Director at Moschino has been putting in some overtime for his latest sartorial efforts. Previously his work has had some mixed reviews, but Pre-Fall 2015 has certainly put Moschino back on some wish lists. Here he channels the ‘tools of the atelier’ with designs that feature an oversized yellow measuring tape motif, fabric care symbols, and even hot iron burns. Its ‘different’.

Lanvin Regal Blue Dress - Pre-Fall 2015

Alber Elbaz has certainly outdone himself this time! Without a doubt one of the world’s all time favourite designers, Lanvin continues to delight with each and every season. The Pre-Fall 2015 collection boasts 46 day looks alone, and that’s before we’ve even got to looks for Cocktail hour! What’s not to love? Generous cuts, luxe fabrics, and wear-ability are the order of the day for Lanvin’s latest.

Roland Mouret

Roland Mouret Red Jumpsuit - Pre-Fall 2015

Keeping Ladies classy. Roland’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection concentrates on the feminine form, clean lines, and showcases bold hints of colour throughout. Loving the fire-engine red jumpsuit.

Mugler Tuxedo - Pre-Fall 2015

Each piece here is 100% iconic! Mugler is another French fashion brand that successfully manages to win our hearts every season. Fitted trench coats, leather jumpsuit, sharp tailoring and peekaboo detailing is clearly a winning formula.

BCBG Max Azria

One of fashion’s most coveted designers gets it right. The Max Azria brand is both iconic and versatile. This collection divulges from playful prints, sheer fabrics and a healthy dose of femininity. Travel and art has inspired this particular collection, but check out those glamorous evening dresses – they are bohemian perfection.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is a true style visionary that continues to exceed the expectations of modern women. Pre-Fall is no exception to that rule. Soft shades of white, cream and camel are the primary colours here, while cashmere and suede fabrics make for an air of understated luxury.

Sonia Rykiel

A strong nod to 1970’s glamour is noticeable throughout Sonia Rykiel’s most recent collection, and there’s no denying the fact that these pieces are accessible to wear. Shearling coats, high-waisted flares and elongating lengths pay tribute to the 70’s while contemporary star graphics and other details give the collection a fresh update.

Issa never ceases to amaze us with their fluid fabrics and draped silhouettes. Their Pre-Fall 2015 collection focuses on these factors, as well as around cinched waists. The label’s signature wrap this time is a navy-and-black belted pencil dress with contrasting white piping – definitely one of the collection’s standout pieces.

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

Preen’s latest collection is a bold mixture of grunge meets red carpet elegance. Some of these looks are heavily knitwear based, while the red carpet-worthy numbers speak for themselves in terms of high octane glamour!

Structured silhouettes, A-line dresses adorned with houndstooth prints, and sharp tuxedo suits show just how ‘together’ Jason Wu likes his fashion.

Rag & Bone

This collection from American label Rag & Bone is low-key, but still remains pleasing to the eye. The concept used for Pre-Fall 2015 was “old Englishman pyjamas.” Quality casual wear

A graphic monochrome colour palette has been used for the base of this collection. Lively and lady-like.
